Our Mentoring Program, which is an extension of our U.S. Scholarship program, offers award recipients the opportunity to have a dedicated professional mentor who can provide guidance and support throughout their first year of college. The primary objective of this program is to establish meaningful connections, provide valuable education, and offer comprehensive support to our mentees.
Mentoring Program
Through the mentoring program, mentees gain invaluable knowledge about leadership and academic skills, professionalism, career development, and various other aspects that contribute to their personal and academic growth. Our mentors play a pivotal role in sharing their expertise and experiences, empowering mentees to navigate the challenges of college life and achieve their goals.
Meet Our 2023-2024 Scholarship Recipients & Mentees!!
Sariah is a freshman at Southern Connecticut State University, majoring in Nursing. She wrote:
“My purpose is to help take care of others and make the world a better place. To put my knowledge into my work and help others with their health and their needs just as my nurses did for me. I know to do that I need my education. What does purpose mean to me? It means never giving up, loving what you do, and a desire to continuously work hard to accomplish.”

Saratou is a freshman at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Computer Science. She wrote:
“Even though in high school, math concepts and failed questions frustrated me, math also taught me as it wrecked me. It taught me the importance of a growth mindset, as there are multiple ways to get answers and I was able to learn how to apply the concepts in a book to my own life. I’ll always love math because it helped me find my passion in Data Science.”
Throughout the year, our dedicated mentors go above and beyond in supporting our mentees.
In addition to offering guidance and support, they organize engaging activities, invite professionals to share their expertise, and even arrange a fun photoshoot for our mentees and their families to capture cherished memories (& update their LinkedIn Profiles!).
